Application File Review
A line-by-line reading of a draft application before it is lodged, so the registrar’s correction notice is not the first person to find the missing declaration.
An Application File Review is for a draft that is almost ready and a client who would rather hear about a missing statutory declaration from us than from a correction notice six weeks after lodging.
We read the form the registrar currently issues, not last year’s photocopy from a colleague’s drawer. We check that the standing claimed in the application matches the standing shown on the extract. We look at the exhibits: survey plans that do not speak to the dealing, board certificates with the wrong year, gazette clippings that start a clock the applicant has not noticed.
The marked-up draft comes back with a short covering note: lodge as recast, lodge with a covering letter we supply, or hold until a supporting volume is produced. We do not lodge unless you ask us to act as the lodging party, and that extra step is quoted once the draft is stable.
Excluded: rewriting an entire conveyancing file, filling blanks you have not answered, and arguing a refused application that has already been determined. Refused files belong with Contested Entry Support.
Fee from $920 plus GST for a single form and its exhibits. Additional instruments in the same lodging are quoted on sight.
